AMWE 2025 Expo: Public, Private Sector Collaboration For Economic Gains Of Medical Tourism

Usman Isah, convener of the All Africa Medical & Wellness Expo (AMWE), calls on the Nigerian government to scale up healthcare investment through public–private partnerships (PPPs). He emphasizes the economic loss of $2 billion annually due to outbound medical travel and advocates for strengthening Nigeria’s healthcare infrastructure to retain medical spend and attract foreign patients. The upcoming AMWE 2025 Expo, themed “Medical and Wellness Tourism: Bridging Global Healthcare Gaps,” will take place August 27–29, 2025, at Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja. The event will feature exhibitions, keynote speeches, government–business networking, and an awards night, spotlighting innovation across Africa’s medical and wellness ecosystem.
